When you book with Intraglobe, the following Terms and Conditions become part of your contract.
By accessing, browsing or making a reservation through this electronic page, you expressly accept to these Terms and Conditions, without modification, and intend to be legally bound by them. To the extent of any type of moving services to be provided and/or services booked through your Intraglobe representative, you agree that these Terms and Conditions apply to all transactions. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. If you do not accept the Terms and Conditions, please do not make a reservation through this page and contact your sale representative.

IMS Moving Network is the management division for Intraglobe for the logistics and the administration division. Its goal is to handle the complex phases of the logistics and the management of several entities of the organization. Following your reservation, you will be greeted with IMS Moving Network and it will pursue the management of your move on the behalf of Intraglobe. All the terms and conditions would apply with the same inclusions as the ones stated from Intraglobe.
You the client, accept that IMS Moving Network handles the follow up and management of the logistics and administration of your relocation.

Intraglobe makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of the information contained herein and to the best of its knowledge all information is accurate at the time of the quote. We try to ensure that the rates on the moving proposal are accurate, however errors do occur and we reserve the right to refuse to accept and/or the right to cancel and refund any deposit/commission that was taken.

Our quote is based on the estimated volume and required services. Nonetheless, the final price may vary according to additional volume or additional requested services not covered
on the contract. Some fees may apply if not previously included on the contract, for example: customs clearance, port/terminal fees, inspection, piano, unusually large/heavy items, difficult access, shuttle service, elevator/hoisting service and any other unforeseen charges. All changes to the contract done after the reservation have to be submitted in writing. We reserve the right to accept or refuse said changes. The quote is valid for 30 days. After which it might fluctuate depending on many factors (cost of fuel, exchange rates, maritime/third party’s rates, etc). We will act with due diligence and inform you of such fluctuations should they occur. The quote is dependent on a variety of variable factors including, but not limited to, fuel costs, rates of exchange, maritime or airline providers changes in their rates and other factors out of the control of Intraglobe Should these costs increase, Intraglobe reserves the right to increase the total on the final moving invoice. In the event that any such increase is in excess of 15%, you will be entitled to cancel your moving services and receive a full refund. Commercially reasonable efforts will be made to advise you of any rate increase at least 15 days prior to your moving date. All rate increases may reflect administrative costs incurred. For competitive reasons, Intraglobe has the right to deny a discount given. In the event that the shipment has been loaded and that a minor adjustment needs to be made to reflect these unexpected surcharges, it will be made and reflected on the final invoice of your move.

From time to time Intraglobe advertises promotional offers which may be available during the year, mostly on the slow season. On high season (June-September), these promotions might not be available.

Any modifications must be made in writing. Intraglobe reserves the right to accept or refuse any changes made after reservation.

When selecting Intraglobe, you have made your choice among other International movers. We thank you for your trust in selecting our company. Our goal is to offer you the best quality of service that you may expect. Our team will work in fine detail to make your move a successful one. We will honour the conditions of the contract that was made with your sale representative. We will assist you in every way we can. We will advise you of any discrepancy in the volume, weight or services that were agreed. When your move is confirmed, we will assign you a logistic specialist that will guide you during the process of your move.


Read carefully the terms and conditions of your contract. Keep in communication with your logistic specialist. Prepare a valued inventory list. Obtain applicable information and paperwork from the consulate. Prepare your appliances and electronics for transport. Make sure that all items on your inventory are delivered, picked up or loaded Respect the rules and regulations of the maritime and airline industry. These rules must be known by you and respected. Some of these rules might be such as no drugs, firearms, ammunition, Infantile pornographic material, sums of money exceeding the law, any liquid, combustible items, perishable foods, animal and other items prohibited by law.

Reservation fees (deposit/commission) must be paid by credit card, wire-transfer, Interac payment, bank transfer, check or cash.
A 2nd payment (equivalent to the balance of the contract) will be required no later at the time of loading/pick up and payable by check, bank transfer, wire payment, bank transfer or cash. No credit card is accepted for that portion unless an agreement was made with your sales representative. You may also decide with your Intraglobe sales representative to use any other type of payment. If payment is not made on time, holding of the shipment could be made at your own expenses. In many cases, we will not ship until we received the second payment.
A final invoice will be made as soon as we have collected all the details of your move and if a balance is remaining, it will be asked to pay immediately at the reception of that invoice. The last portion of the payment can be made by credit card, bank transfer, Interac payment or wire transfer. You may also decide with your Intraglobe sales representative to use any other type of payment. If payment is not made on time, shipment might be held at destination at your own expense.

Intraglobe accepts MasterCard and Visa credit cards as forms of payment for the deposit/commission or for the final payment. If your payment is made using MasterCard or Visa, please be advised that IMS Moving Network will appear as the vendor on your credit card statement, not Intraglobe. Your authorization to use your credit card number to pay for
deposit/commission or the final payment provided by Intraglobe indicates your acceptance of our Terms and Conditions, whether or not you have actually signed the credit card information. Therefore, by providing your Intraglobe representative with authorization to use your credit card to pay for your moving services you are confirming that you will pay the total amount charged for this deposit/commission or the final payment to the card issuer according to your cardholder agreement. Simultaneously you are also acknowledging your acceptance of Intraglobe Terms and Conditions.

Given transit times are approximated, Intraglobe is not responsible for delays due the complexity of controlling all the parties involved. Please note pickup and/or delivery dates are never guaranteed. All dates specified are merely tentative.

For most destinations, we can offer the following services: door to door, door to terminal/port, terminal to terminal/port, terminal to door. However, some countries may cause some difficulties to offer a door delivery or terminal/port delivery. We encourage you to confirm with your sales representative for the options available.

In order to give you the best affordable rate and for the purpose of making optimization for all, we may at our choice decide to share your shipment with another one in the same container. This is known as a non exclusive use of the container. If you wish to have an exclusive container, speak with your sales representative. An adjustment in the rate might occur.

You declare that you are the owner and have legal authority over the goods that are to be transported.

If our company cannot honour the moving service, deposit will be refunded 100% to the client. It will not be up to or determined by the client that Intraglobe cannot perform the service. It will be up to and determine by Intraglobe Logistic team who will inform the administrative entity of Intraglobe. If the client decides to cancel the move, the deposit is a sales commission and will not be refundable. Following a cancellation by you, the client will have to pay 20% of the total value of the contract and fees related to services already rendered and the delivery/remittance of effects (if applicable). The remaining balance will be refunded to client.

We ask you to keep an active email address so that we can inform you of any change. You accept that the means of communication is via electronic (email).

We will be responsible for deciding the means of storage, transport, vessels and agents where applicable. We have the right to manage the best route possible until its arrival at final destination.

We have the right to subcontract in part or in whole the transportation of your belongings.

Intraglobe reserves the right to charge 20% of any third party charges that it organizes for the client and that are not part of the total estimated costs to the client such as origin or destination services.

While most of our loading dates are made on time, move dates shall be subject to the availability of the vessel and equipment. Circumstances beyond our control may force us to
change the move date. Equipment failure and unforeseen situations may arise. We will do our best to notify you and find the best solution to overcome the situation.

Intraglobe is not liable for any destination charges (customs, taxes, duties and so on) other than those previously stated in the contract.

The volume stated on the contract, shall be what the rate(s) reflect. We shall reserve that amount of space for your transportation needs and therefore will become the minimum volume in which the client shall be charged. Any fluctuations to an increase in volume shall be adjusted respectively.

In order to familiarize yourself with relevant laws, customs and the necessary documentation for your move from the country of origin and to the country of destination, we recommend that you refer to the relevant embassies or consulates for the countries involved. We recommend each client to do this before reserving the moving service with Intraglobe.

Intraglobe and/or its suppliers cannot assume liability for any loss, damage or injury of any nature in whole or in part resulting from an Act of God or any other Force Majeure condition including without limitation: fire, volcanic eruption, environmental pollution or contamination, inclement weather, earthquake, flood, water or power shortages or failures, tropical storms or hurricanes, riots or civil commotions or disturbances and any other acts of similar nature, sabotage, arrests, strikes or other labour disruptions, restraints of rulers or peoples, expropriations, acts of terrorism, war, insurrection, quarantine restrictions, government health advisories or warnings or alerts of any kind or nature, government seizures, refusal or cancellation or suspension or delay of any government authority or any license, permit or authorization, damages to its facilities in Canada, France or any other factor unforeseen by Intraglobe that impacts negatively on or hampers its ability to fulfill any of its contractual conditions. In the event that any of these conditions apply, Intraglobe shall
be excused, discharged or released from its performance to the extent such performance is so limited or prevented, without liability of any kind.

Intraglobe is not liable for any loss, damage or injury, whether to property, physical or mental, arising from its own acts. Client must engage in an insurance policy to cover the lost and damage of the goods in the process of the move.
Intraglobe will offer the client coverage through its broker and the insurance company will insure the coverage.

The customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Intraglobe against any liability, actions (including legal fees), claims, losses, costs and damages, which Intraglobe may incur, sustain or pay arising out of or in connection with the customer’s negligent or intentional act or omission, in relation to any incident alleged to have occurred in the process of the move.

These Terms and Conditions are binding upon all members of the client, family, dependants, estate, heirs, successors and legal personal representatives.

Your contract with Intraglobe is governed by and is to be construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Quebec and the laws of Canada applicable therein. Further, any claim or action arising out of or relating to your moving service may be filed only in the courts of Quebec and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts.

If any terms or conditions, or any portion hereof is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining portions of these Terms and Conditions will remain in full force and effect, and, if
possible, the portion(s) found unenforceable will be construed in a manner consistent with the remaining portions.

By making a reservation to purchase a moving service with Intraglobe. you, the client, hereby acknowledge that you have read and accept the Terms and Conditions contained herein.
The rate given is valid for 30 days.

While every care will be taken by Intraglobe and its affiliated movers to transport your possessions safely, you will acknowledge that the distances involved, coupled with the rigours of an international transit, means that on occasions loss and/or damage to your goods may occur. We therefore strongly recommend that you take out insurance coverage to ensure that you are duly compensated for any loss which may occur.
Insurance coverage types available for personal effects
In the case of an overseas move of personal effects, there are three types of coverage available: TOTAL LOSS ONLY
This coverage applies only in some types of services that are chosen with Intraglobe. It covers the total loss or destruction of your entire shipment while in transit and/or being handled. The cost of this coverage is based on the declared value of your shipment at a rate of 1.65%.

This coverage applies only in some types of services that are chosen with Intraglobe. It covers the total loss or destruction of your shipment (in whole or in part) and also damages to furniture while in transit and/or being handled. The cost of this coverage is based on the declared value of your shipment at a rate of 2.45%.

This coverage applies only in some types of services that are chosen with Intraglobe. It covers the total loss or destruction of your shipment (in whole or in part), damages to furniture and the content of boxes that where packed by our company while in transit and/or being handled. The cost of this coverage is based on the declared value of your shipment at a rate of 3.25%.
Coverage choice
To find out more about protection services or to reserve coverage, please communicate with your sales representative at Intraglobe.

During the reservation of your choice of coverage, you will receive a valued inventory form in order to declare the list of items and their value. You can also give us your own valued inventory with the aid of an electronic file such as word, excel, etc. It's important that your name and contract number appears clearly and in full on your valued inventory list and signed. You will have to send us the list or the form before your shipment's departure on a ship or plane.

Transit insurance confirmation
Once we have received the valued inventory form (or your own valued inventory list), we will issue the certificate of insurance protection confirming that the coverage of your goods is active and send it to you electronically (email).

Please note that if you have a vehicle to be added with your personal effects, it will be included under the same coverage. If you're moving vehicles, please note that the options and costs are not the same as for personal effects. For details regarding those options, please contact Intraglobe.
