Packing for your overseas and international move
- Start collecting old newspapers long before the overseas move. Do not use them for wrapping varnished objects, non-porous ceramic, glass and metal objects, never use with porcelain.
- Wrap fragile items individually and then place them vertically in a box filled with padding.
- Inquire at the local supermarket if it is possible to get cardboard boxes.
- Ensure the soundness of the boxes, because they will be stacked during transportation.
- Do not hesitate to give away, throw away or have a garage sale. An object or a garment that has not been used during the last two years will certainly not be used again.
Preventive measures
- Cash, jewelry, contents of safety and other personal property must be in possession of the customer at all times.
- If any, you must comply with vaccination and health requirements requested in the new country.
